Nancy Colby, a  local artist, is accomplished in both watercolor and acrylic painting. Her versatile subject matter and dramatic colors are unique, and she is sought after for her sensitive portraits of animals.

Nancy's God-given ability has earned her accolades in Arts of Sarasota, and multiple honors as well as Best of Show at Englewood Art Center, Venice Art Center, Charlotte County Visual Arts Center, and Florida Suncoast Watercolor Society. Her works have been sold, privately and by commission, through art galleries and retail outlets.

Nancy teaches beginning and intermediate watercolor classes at Venice Art Center, and recently began two acrylic classes at Englewood Art Center. Her furniture painting workshops are held at the Englewood Art Center, where she provides demonstrations and guarantees a finished piece in one day.

Nancy’s work is on permanent display at Lemon Tree Gallery in Englewood. She also shows at Englewood Art Center, Venice Art Center, Charlotte County Visual Arts Center in Punta Gorda and Arts Sarasota. Viewing of her private work and commission consultations are by appointment.
